Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. It promotes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger assailant using leverage and proper technique; most notably, by applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat them. BJJ can be trained for self defense, sport grappling tournaments) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition. It stresses movement,, technique, flexibility and fitness.

MMA

MMA is a full contact combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques, from a mixture of martial arts. The rules allow the use of striking and grappling techniques, both while standing and on the ground. The sport is one of the fastest growing in the world. MMA classes focus predominantly on the "up close" work needed to compete in a cage or ring fight or, indeed, the street. Clinch work, striking, takedowns, submissions, "ground n' pound" and escapes are all covered in expert detail. Classes generally consist of a warm-up and cardio work, technique drills and sparring.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques it is referred to as the "Art of Eight Limbs" or the "Science of Eight Limbs" because it makes use of punches, kicks, elbows and knee strikes.
